![]() Specifically, the position, plans, designs, develop, modify, debugs, deploys and evaluates complex software for the University of California Pavement Research Center. This position supports the center's engineers, scientists, and other professionals that engage in cutting-edge research supported by Caltrans, Cal EPA, FAA, FWHA, and other industry and governmental sponsors. UCPRC is a large research center with various personnel, including 2 faculty, 1 admin staff, several R&D engineers, project scientists, graduate and undergraduate students.ĭevelop software applications extend and maintain existing software applications and contribute to other research activity within the University of California pavement research center (UCPRC). University of California pavement research center (UCPRC) is part of the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department. The Department has an annual budget of ~$15M (instructional and research) with 400+ active accounts and an eclectic research enterprise externally funded by federal, state, and private sponsors and individual/corporate donors. The Department has one of the largest undergraduate and graduate programs in the college with approximately 520 undergraduates and 240 graduate students enrolled. The Department has 40 faculty, 3 adjunct professors, 4 professional research engineers, 25 project scientists and technical staff, and 11 administrative staff. The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering is a large academic department in the College of Engineering and provides instruction and research in five specialty areas of engineering.
